Rotherham United

Our player Jermaine Johnson was sensationally red-carded as League One Rotherham put one over their Championship neighbours with an impressive 2-1 win. With us trailing the Our' winger had been on the pitch just 18 minutes when he clashed with Ben Pringle and head-butted the midfielder earning a straight red. All the goals came in the first half of a pulsating derby clash in front of a sell-out 11,433 crowd, the start of which was delayed for 15 minutes because of congestion outside the ground. Rotherham went in front after 10 minutes when Kari Arnason's long throw was cleared to the unmarked Ben Pringle and the midfielder lashed a rasping 20-yarder past Chris Kirkland. On a rare break forward We won a free-kick 30 yards out that was struck low with precision by Rhys McCabe to level after 23 minutes. Another Arnason throw-in fell to Lee Frecklington who restored Rotherham's lead with a sweet strike after 38 minutes. Rotherham hung onto their lead and Johnson was sent off after 76 minutes on the night the better team won.
