Carling cup Scunthorpe united
Scunthorpe proved too strong for Sheffield Wednesday as they won their Carling Cup second-round tie.
Michael Collins and Chris Dagnall both scored with strikes from the edge of the box to put Scunthorpe ahead.
Michael O'Connor added a third with a penalty after Richard Hinds was sent-off for a foul on Jonathan Forte.
Marcus Tudgay responded with an Owls spot-kick but Dagnall put his side 4-1 up before Neil Mellor grabbed a late consolation strike for the visitors
